The world was a very different place in 2090. The population had collapsed after the Red Plague and her nation was desperately in need of people-they were in short supply everywhere. Nothing could be done about the short term shortage, but the government acted to ensure they had a secure long term supply of citizens. They set up the breeding camps, and Ingrid was one wife sent to the these camps.
