Résumé

It takes a while to write a cookbook, mainly because man, life happens. Get up, no nappies, dog coughing, loadshedding, late for school, get back home, forgot about a meeting, and and and - sound familiar? Much like dinner, opening the fridge and nothing's staring back at you. For me, mealtimes are personal, shared with family. It evokes emotion, has lasting meaning and transports you to your childhood or somewhere you'd love to travel.  It makes your heart and mind sing and if you're all alone, that's cool too.
There's no 'one' guide for life. That's the beauty of it. I'm no-one famous, just a single mom with one human, four fur and six fish babies, making ends meet, who's lived life, and experienced hardships, just like you, and everyone else. If you're short on time, money, or ideas, then this book's for you. It's easy enough for beginners, i.e. teens, young adults leaving home, dad's trying to make birthday breakfasts or kids trying to spoil their parents, or when you're trying to impress that special someone. Have fun with it.  It doesn't need to be perfect.
It just needs to be real.
