Mitsui Takagi fled Tokyo before his professional reputation as a Shinjuku police detective could be tarnished by the revelation that his partner was corrupt. Not in the bribe-taking way either, but in a fucking-the-boss-of-the-Yamashita-Organisation kind of way. He'd thought coming north to Sapporo and working as a detective with the Hokkaido Prefecture Police would mean his life would get quieter.

Okay, maybe Mitsui could take some of the blame for that last one because he'd been the one to invite the man into his bed and now, he didn't want Kawazu to leave it. But unknown to Mitsui, the reporter had secrets, which if revealed, could destroy whatever this relationship was developing between them. And if that wasn't enough, Mitsui's new partner might be corrupt.
