Sanita Fejzic is a playwright, poet, and literary writer. She has won and been shortlisted for numerous literary and theatre awards. Blissful State of Surrender premiered at the Great Canadian Theatre Company in February 2022, and was nominated for five Rideau Awards, winning for Best Actress. In 2023, Sanita produced Why Worry About Their Futures at the undercurrents festival. Her radio play, Machines and Moss, was produced by the National Arts Centre in 2024.
Hailed as an "incredible artist" by Hans Zimmer, Suad Bushnaq is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award winning Jordanian Canadian music composer of Bosnian, Palestinian, and Syrian roots.
Her work has garnered a CASMA (Canadian Screen Music Award), a Hollywood Music in Media Award, and four CSA (Canadian Screen Award) nominations, to name a few. She is the 2021 recipient of the Kathleen McMorrow Music Award from the Ontario Arts Foundation. Her most recent work includes the three-part series Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough, for which she won a Canadian Screen Music Award and was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award. Keith Barker (Métis) is an actor, playwright, director, and dramaturg from Northwestern Ontario.
He is the director of the Foerster Bernstein New Play Development Program at the Stratford Festival, and the former artistic director of Native Earth Performing Arts. Before that, Keith served as a theatre program officer for the Canada Council for the Arts. Keith is the recipient of the Johanna Metcalf Performing Arts Prize, the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play, and the Playwrights Guild of Canada's Carol Bolt Award.
He was a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Award for Drama in 2018 for his play This Is How We Got Here. Keith received the Saskatchewan and Area Theatre Award for Achievement in Playwriting for The Hours That Remain and a Yukon Arts Award for Best Art for Social Change.
