This book is a compilation of connections between ancient Scriptural statements and modern American English idioms. Biblical wisdom has been passed down to us through the generations: parents and grandparents have used these idioms to mentor their children and grandchildren. Dr. Miller describes nearly 200 American-language idioms that stem from or are related to verses in the Old and New Testaments.
