The heat of the desert isn't the only thing stirring up Abigail, trapped in a life she didn't choose. Working for her father, courted by a man who clearly doesn't love her, she is monetarily distracted by a rugged looking man in black leading a band of rowdies out of town, outlaw or gunman? It's not a good idea. He is a rustler and she is/was a lady of stature. Neither of these people fully grasp how their dreams have costs attached. Set in the wild times of Southern Arizona in 1883, where death can come swiftly from many angles. Sam and Abigail have to struggle to find any of their dreams.
