Ivana Smit Azizi was born in the beautiful country of Croatia and currently lives in Germany. Her love for poetry began in childhood, but the verses in Between the stars emerged in 2022, inspired by mysticism of Sufi poetry, the timeless words of Rumi, and the soul of Persian and Arabic literature. This first collection is a blend of personal journey, sorrow, and longing written with hope of connecting young readers to the poetic traditions of the past.
