Victor Guilbert est romancier, dramaturge et nouvelliste. Après des études de comédien et un Master 2 en linguistique, c'est grâce au théâtre qu'il fait ses premiers pas dans le monde de l'écriture en proposant des pièces qui seront jouées dans toute la France, à la Réunion et jusqu'en Chine. Il se lance par la suite dans la rédaction de textes de chansons, sketchs, nouvelles.Après avoir vécu plusieurs années à Shanghai, où il a dirigé la Troupe de Théâtre Francophone, puis à Paris, il réside désormais à New York.
En 2017 sort son premier roman, L'histoire fabuleuse du Français insouciant devenu Chinois insurgé, aux éditions Hikari. Douve (2021), son premier roman policier, a reçu le prix du meilleur polar 2022 au salon Saint-Maur en poche. Il remporte ensuite le Prix Le Point du Polar européen 2022 pour son roman Terra Nullius (2022, Hugo Thriller) ainsi que le Grand Prix Dora Suarez. Son dernier roman, Brouillards, a paru en avril 2023 et met une nouvelle fois en scène son personnage récurent Hugo Boloren, déjà présent dans les deux précédents. Multi-disciplined illustrator Oriol Vidal crafts lively and vibrant artwork for a variety of media.
Using delicate linework, strong composition and touches of texture, Oriol brings comical monsters, adorable dinosaurs and high-spirited children to life for picture books and storyboards. By creating relatable characters, he is able to capture life's more realistic and reflective moments. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Oriol studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. In a career spanning a little over a decade, he has worked on children's books, character designs, concept art and storyboards.
He has illustrated for publishing houses such as Scholastic, Harper Collins and MacMillan. And has developed storyboards for animation companies including Disney, Imira Entertainment. Oriol is currently a storyboard artist at the multi-award winning Irish animation company Boulder Media. He has worked on the fantastic Danger Mouse reboot and the upcoming Micronauts series, based on Hasbro toyline.
