Beneath the Steaming Deep

Rex, Tamu, and Sfan were never supposed to leave the kitchen table. Rex is a wobbly, restless green jelly who can't sit still for a second. Tamu is a chocolate biscuit with a stubborn streak and a nose for trouble. Sfan is a small, sharp-witted candy who always seems to know more than she lets on. The three of them are the best of friends, and on an ordinary afternoon, that friendship is about to be tested in a way none of them could have imagined. It starts with a dare, a wobble, and one careless step too close to the edge of a steaming bowl of soup.
In an instant, Rex, Tamu, and Sfan are pulled under, tumbling through clouds of steam and swirling broth, spinning past floating vegetables the size of boulders and currents stronger than anything they've ever felt. When the spinning finally stops, they surface in a place that shouldn't exist: a vast, glowing civilization built beneath the soup's surface, alive with strange creatures, towering broth-carved structures, and secrets older than the bowl itself. The underwater world is nothing like they expected.
Glowing noodle-vines twist through coral-like bone structures. Cities are carved into onion-shell domes. Entire communities of soup-dwelling creatures have built a thriving society far below where any spoon has ever reached, and they are not entirely welcoming to visitors who fell from above.
