Résumé

In the aftermath of a personal decision, Shea O'Byrne has retreated to Melbourne, combining her career as a vet nurse to study counselling in pregnancy loss-a pain she understands all too well. The move leads Shea to Professor Eliza Westfield and a new friend, Heath, whose gentle persistence begins to crack the walls around Shea's heart. When her father's genealogical research uncovers a long-buried secret, and delves deeper into the life of Catherine O'Byrne-Samuel's independent daughter, whose story eerily mirrors Shea's-past and present collide in unexpected ways.
When Shea's former lover follows her to Wentworth, bringing with him the painful secret she's kept from everyone, she must finally confront the choices that have shaped her life. Shea must decide if some secrets are worth keeping-and if the O'Byrne family legacy of resilience and love lives on in her. Spanning two centuries of family history, heartbreak, and healing, Beneath Still Waters continues the sweeping saga of the O'Byrne family, where every discovery on the banks of the Darling River reveals that our most personal struggles often echo through generations.
Annie Seaton lives on the edge of the South Pacific Ocean on the east coast of Australia with her own hero of many years. Their two children are now grown up and married, and three beautiful grandchildren have arrived. They share their home with Toby, the naughtiest dog in the universe, and two white cats. When Annie is not writing she can be found in her garden or walking on the beach...or most likely on her deck overlooking the ocean, camera in hand as the sun sets.
Each winter, Annie and her husband leave the beach to roam the remote areas of Australia for story ideas and research. Readers can contact Annie through her website annieseaton.net or find her on Face book, Twitter and Instagram. Annie loves to hear from readers.
