Résumé

BELLA'S WISH is about ageing and loss, love and friendship. It's set in the Languedoc region of southern France. 78-year-old Bella has disappeared and cannot be contacted. Her oldest friend, Simon, searching for her, breaks into her home in a remote village in the Languedoc hills. He finds no trace of Bella - but discovers there's much, much more to his old friend than he ever knew.
I'm the author of more than forty travel guides for major publishers, and six novels - Bella's Wish (2026); On Romford Road (2025); The J-Word (2009, 2011, 2018); The Slave (2013); Love (2015); and The Unknown Mrs Rosen (2020). Bella's Wish is about an 80-year-old woman who disappears and cannot be contacted. Her oldest friend goes searching, breaks into her home in a remote village in the south of France and learns more about his old friend Bella than he ever bargained for.

One chooses the path of crime and corruption, the other toil and education. But fate has bound them together. A tale of revenge and rivalry, a family saga set against the story of the 20th century in London. https://www.andrewsanger.com/on-romford-roadThe Unknown Mrs Rosen, published 2020, is about a former spy at the end of a secret life about which her family and carers know nothing.

The J-Word, about an elderly man who seeks justice in his own way after being attacked by an antisemitic gang, was published in the UK in 2009 by Snowbooks, and came out in a Kindle edition in 2011. A new edition was published in 2018. Featured at London's Jewish Book Week and the Hampstead & Highgate Literary Festival. For more about The J-Word see https://www.andrewsanger.com/the-j-wordThe Slave, about a young 'client' who tries to free a woman from forced prostitution, was published in 2013 at Smashwords as an ebook for multiple platforms, and is also available as a paperback.
