Mia, Toby, Lily, and Ben-along with Mr. Whiskers the cat-embark on a backyard treasure hunt. Starting with a clue about "where the wind sings through wooden teeth" (the picket fence), they follow a series of riddles that lead them to locations like the maple tree, the garden shed, the swinging gate, the pond, the swing set, and finally Mr. Whiskers' favorite nap spot. Along the way, they collect small prizes and new clues.
The hunt ends at the sandbox, where they dig up a tin box containing a heart-shaped stone. They call it "friendship magic" and celebrate together, happy to have shared a day of teamwork, discovery, and adventure.
