This collection serves as a rich companion to the novels Muscle Love: Confessions of a Muscle Worshipper and Muscle Therapy: Curing My Muscle Worship Addiction. Both books explore a man's intense desire for muscular women in a society that still treats that attraction as taboo. While writing them, my wife and I crafted detailed backstories for the women who fuel these passions. We wanted them to be more than just objects of worship.
We wanted them to be fully realized characters with their own powerful drives. For Melinda, that came naturally. Inspired heavily by my wife's own life, Melinda grew tired of feeling small. She craved size, strength, and presence. The more muscle she built, the more she wanted. Along her journey, she enjoyed admiration, but she also faced the predictable patriarchal pushback: "You look good now, but don't get too big or you'll look like a man."Josie's backstory also drew from my wife's experiences, but we took her character in a different direction, creating a series of stories that revealed why she chose the path of muscular development.
The same deep-dive process helped bring Kristy to life. Drawing from years of research and observation, we traced her evolution so her actions and ambitions would feel authentic and compelling. Though these Backstories never became a standalone novel, they became essential to both books. By following these women's hunger for growth and their embrace of power, they tell their own deeply satisfying story.
