The backpacking's concept raises many questions as an ever-changing nebula in a Travel World that now markets all types of tourism. Democratized phenomenon and child of globalization and low cost, Backpacking too often benefits from a glittering and biased vision: this essay tries to clarify this concept through my own travels and introspective explorations. I thus unpack the origins, the advantages for our society and especially the dangers of such a massive practice of this type of travel.
