Behind this pseudonym are the Dutch writers Bert Holtes and Wop Sietsma, who each bring a wealth of diverse experiences to their storytelling. Both were born in 1957-Bert in Alkmaar, North Holland, and Wop in Sneek, Friesland-and have been partners in life for nearly fifty years. While their careers took them in different directions, they have always been each other's support. Bert's professional journey led him through various fields: from the fragrant workshop of a pastry chef to the adventurous life of a Marine (2ZM), and from upholding the law as a police officer to becoming an entrepreneur and executive in different industries. Wop found her passion in technology and was one of the first female programmers in a male-dominated IT world.
She built a successful career as an independent IT specialist, navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Together, they combined their experiences, observations, and imagination in the gripping BACK-UP trilogy. Although they decided to stop writing after this series, their work continues to captivate and inspire readers.
