Résumé

Sheriff Mace Davenport was just trying to do his duty by keeping a doomsday weapon out of a criminal mastermind's hands. Now Davenport is under arrest and on trial for his life. He's charged with waging armed insurrection against the Confederate Reserve Wing-the same Reserve Wing that has been trying to set off the doomsday weapon all this time. Davenport's struggles across known space haven't been in vain, though.
