Covered in burn scars and radiating a body heat so intense it blisters the air around him, he is volatile, dangerous, and untouchable.
When a catastrophic breach threatens the Aristocracy District, Juno is hired to guide Dax into the burning tunnels to seal it. But the descent into the fire reveals terrifying truths: the city isn't just burning coal, and Dax isn't just a prisoner. Forced into a brutal partnership where the environment tries to cook them alive, the icy mapper and the burning convict discover a magnetic, ruinous attraction.
