Aristotle - Part 2

Let's join the class and take a stroll with Theophrastus, the great botanist, as he recounts the life of Aristotle. Caught up in times as turbulent as our own, Aristotle is witness to the troubles of 4th-century Greece. In his story, we meet the wise Plato, the brilliant, arrogant Alexander (before he was "the Great"), the women Aristotle loved, the children in his life, and a whole cast of characters torn from the papyri of classical literature.
As no biography of a philosopher would be complete without philosophy, we're given an in-depth overview of Aristotle's many ideas. Ancient people come to life (no, not literally-this isn't a zombie story) in this wonderful biography of the great philosopher. The second part of "Aristotle" picks up when Theophrastus visits the newlywed couple and invites them to settle down close to him, on the nearby island of Lesbos.
There, they will pursue peacefully their studies of the natural world - but the family's next move is not far on the horizon...
