His sports car is just an old vehicle and his apartment is as old and tatty as the clothes he wears.
Also the dozens of friends and acquaintances he interacts with don't exist. Anu is the only other real person in the town. He convinces her that the world they live in is false and they remove implants from their necks that create the hallucinations. But where do the necessities of life such as fresh food, electricity and fuel for Talbot's car come from?After days of searching they find Erin, a human girl who is living alone.
