I feel spiritually closer to God. I was not a spiritual person when I met my twin flame and neither am I strongly related to any religious affiliation but I feel a divine force that guides me through the darkest of days. I surrendered naturally to a higher power. I feel less stressed. I feel free of any fears. I feel grounded within my being. I feel in control of myself. I accept, know, and love myself.
The spiritual aspect is always there even right before the encounter. Also before you take on the traits of either a runner or chaser. Matter of fact, right before you meet your twin flame, you go through a spiritual struggling phase - you go through moments of soul searching. Your spirit wants more of everything. You start looking into spiritual teachings, listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and Ted talks, and also start reading books about enlightenment, spiritual growth, and personal transformation.
When my twin flame and I met, we asked each other the last time we both went to church. Neither of us is the spirit to make it to church every weekend but we both agreed that our souls wanted more. He told me about how dissatisfied he was with his work because his soul was not in alignment with it even though it was a dream job. He too was going through a soul-searching phase. The real spiritual awakening phase is dramatically triggered by your encounter.
You go through an accelerated awakening in every area of your life. All these spiritual changes manifest during the break - when you are both away from each other. You do not have to be a runner or a chaser to awaken or feel the connection spiritually. It just happens to both partners. The spiritual awakening phase is so profound that it first shakes your life. You learn very difficult lessons such as cleansing your energy and dealing with any emotional pain.
This is also the phase when you have to dig deeper within yourself to stare at the darkest corners of your soul. Even through this trying phase, you feel the twin flame connecting working through you. After you overcome this phase, immense bliss starts growing in you. Then you realize how much you have changed, transformed, and evolved. You feel more enlightened. More mindful. And you stay in the moment.
You forgive easily - finding self-forgiveness and forgiveness for others is what always initiates the reunion. You both find reconciliation and try to move forward harmoniously.
