Sometimes, one thinks a collection like this should have a chronological order, then perhaps a thematic approach, or a random, feel-good experience. I use all three, so buckle up and enjoy this intense, exhaustive view from a poet, writer, recovering addict, counselor, and, ultimately, a human being who has had the pleasure of meeting people from Yale to jail and wishes he had more time to explore their lives.
