Résumé
All Kilts are Off is a zany romp through the tribulations of getting two people to the altar. Characters are welcome. Taber prefers to stay working on his ranch but his younger brother is getting married. The thought of Blaine becoming a responsible adult is hard to swallow. Taber has picked up the pieces his younger brother tossed aside for years. When the cowboy reconnects with his metro-man sibling the younger brother is quick to remind Taber that life circles around Blaine.
Charlotte, a.k.a Charlie, works as a nurse and is sore need of a vacation. When her college roommate calls to ask Charlotte to help with her wedding, Charlotte believes she will make a fine bridesmaid, albeit last minute. When she arrives at the venue, the mother-of-the-bride informs her not to worry, Charlotte will not need to clean all of the annex building rooms. The mother-of-the-bride is excellent at delegating tasks.
Taber is to play chauffeur while Charlotte is sent to pick up the wedding flower arrangements. As he drives up she is muttering to herself, trying to find a way to get to the florist. He's convinced she is as crazy as the rest of his brother's friends. Charlotte is not about to get into a stranger's truck just because he tells her to. The moody cowboy keeps her on edge all the way to the florist, ranting about how he plans to skin someone alive and leave the body in the desert.
Weddings bring headaches, and this one has plenty. With humor and wit Taber and Charlotte manage to avoid drowning in them. If you have ever been to a mis-matched wedding that you were certain would not last a year, this is the book for you.
