He's not the first jerk I've worked with, but he is the first I've broken all my rules for. Reputation ruined, I'm excited for my fresh start at the Hyatt Ranch. They need a farrier and my ten years experience outweighed the recent drama from my divorce when Dane hired me. The cold-shoulder I get from Ryan, my new boss, isn't unexpected. But if he thinks he can bully me into quitting he has another thing coming.
He may think I can't do this job but I'm going to prove him wrong. I haven't spent a decade in a male-dominated field without learning a thing or two about the male ego. I only wish the idea of beating him at his own game didn't make my blood heat with desire. Turns out signing my divorce papers didn't cure me of my poor taste in men. Gruff jerk is apparently my type and Ryan fits the bill with his sexy saunter and knowing sneers. No matter how sexy he is though, I don't mix business and pleasure.
