Résumé

Step through the Looking-glass into a topsy-turvy, magical world in this gloriously illustrated picture book re-telling of Lewis Carroll's sequel to Alice in Wonderland, from the highly-regarded, prize-winning illustrator of Blue Kangaroo and Melrose and Croc. In this magnificent sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Alice walks through a mirror straight into the topsy-turvy, back-to-front Looking-glass Kingdom.
There she meets a collection of even 'curiouser' characters than before; the walrus and the carpenter, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty, the White Knight and the Red Queen, to name but a few. But nothing is quite what it seems.
Emma Chichester Clark studied art at the Royal College of Art. She has worked as a freelancer for magazines, publishers and advertising agencies as well as teaching art for several years, but now dedicates most of her time to children's books. She was nominated for the Kurt Maschler Award for Illustration twice and 'I Love You, Blue Kangaroo!', was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), was an English writer, mathematician, logician, deacon and photographer.
He is most famous for his timeless classics, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. His work falls within the genre of 'literary nonsense', and he is renowned for his use of word play and imagination. Carroll's work has been enjoyed by many generations across the globe.
