But while the Saxons, Jutes and Angles may seem to offer hope against the hordes of painted Kaldi warriors beyond the wall and the Irish raiders from across the sea, such service may come at a terrible cost. Meanwhile, in the north, Emrys witnesses the devastation wrought by the Kaldi. Cruelly orphaned on the cusp of manhood, he is desperate to fathom the politics of power and war. Where others fail, maybe he can become the true champion of Albion, and herald the way for the great bear, Artos... ...or, as legend would name him, Arthur.
