But, in the end the subtitle, 'Stunning, Strange, & Surprising Facts' hits the nail squarely on the head, the emphasis on 'stunning'. This book is chock full of amazing (even arresting) facts about Acadia for your entertainment, regalement and enchantment. At the same time, this book will also enhance your appreciation and knowledge of Acadia.
Now, when driving along the fabled 'Ocean Drive' you will know that the granite blocks that border the road have quite the amusing name. You will know that while every sunrise seen from atop Cadillac Mountain is special, you cannot experience 'first sunrise over mainland U. S.' from Acadia during the summer.
