'A Slippery Slope' is Gordon Wallace's third novel, following on from 'La Maison du Maître' and 'A Scent of Suspicion'. He has always wanted to write and family members have frequently told him that "there is a novel in you" but during his working career he never found the time to focus on it. However, becoming disabled at the age of sixty eight has given him that time, an unexpected bonus at a difficult period in his life.
The lockdown caused by Covid19 was an even greater incentive to write this book enabling him to escape mentally, if not physically. For many years he has had a love of France, its geography, history, food, drink and culture which, hopefully, readers will also enjoy through the pages of this third George Waterstone adventure.
