Résumé
The narrative centers on Tarz Williams, a 31-year-old Black man known as Reverend, who is a former military member turned armed robber. He is plagued by dreams of a mysterious woman and a subconscious voice compelling him to protect her, despite his biases against White women. When his unstable partner, Curtis, kidnaps a woman during a robbery, Reverend discovers she is the woman from his dreams.
