Résumé
When I sat down to write this book, it wasn't out of a desire to condemn faith but to open up a much-needed conversation about what true faith looks like. So often, we hear stories of power, control, and oppression tied to the name of religion, and it has led many to feel disconnected from the very essence of spirituality. Yet, at the heart of all great religions-especially Christianity-is a message of love, justice, and a deep call to serve one another.
The title A Meeting with Majesty: The King's Call to Humanity was chosen carefully. I wanted to reflect the idea that, despite all the noise surrounding institutionalized religion, there is still a call from Christ-the King-inviting us to something deeper. This call isn't about rituals, rules, or the power dynamics often enforced by religious authorities. It's about a personal, transformative meeting with a higher love, one that compels us to radically care for one another, fight for justice, and restore the broken places in our world.
The chapters ahead explore how religion has been both a source of oppression and a vehicle for power, but they also look toward a new understanding-a calling to move past the distortions of faith toward a life rooted in compassion, forgiveness, and radical love. It's a journey I've taken myself, one where I had to learn to distinguish between the religion of rules and the true call of Christ. My hope is that this book will guide you toward your own meeting with majesty, to hear the King's call for yourself, and ultimately, to embrace a faith that reflects the values of the divine.
