This is the true life story of Joshua Lee Altersberger. Joshua recounts the highs, lows, the good, bad, the ugly and the beautiful. Growing up in extreme poverty, neglect and abuse - Joshua takes us through an emotional rollercoaster of events that ultimately lead him to being incarcerated on Death Row. His story shows how a good kid can so easily venture down the wrong path from the necessity to survive and lack of attention and guidance.
The saying 'it takes a village to raise a child' is very true. Sadly for Joshua he was on his own, fending for himself and his younger sisters. Joshua speaks to all the good kids who are facing the same struggles and to parents of these children, particularly single mothers, to save them from taking the same path.
