BrieAnne Hadley is an obstetrical nurse and knows about babies. She gets a new patient when Grace Hejazi is shot in the chest and goes into labor. The Hejazi baby is delivered and Brie needs to take care of her patient, but the treat is still there. When Jarrah Hejazi arranges a safe house for his family he wants Brie to come and help take care of Grace. Tom Griggs is ex-military and has worked for the Hejazi Security Group for years.
When he hears about Grace being shot he's the first to volunteer to protect Hejazi's adopted sons at a safe house. When Jarrah and Grace arrive at the safe house they have a nurse with them and although he and Brie start off on the wrong foot, feelings begin to grow until one fateful day when Brie is threatened and Griggs goes off the rails. Brie has never dealt with extreme violence and is scared.
