It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning in April. I awoke with great anticipation about the journey and adventure that awaited me in just a few hours. For nearly nine months, I had been dreaming, planning, organizing, scheduling and finalizing the details of a "trip of a lifetime". All the travel preparations had been completed. Now the clock would take over, and begin to set me on a course that would take me headed west out of Washington, D.
C. - and around the world. I sent an e-mail from each country to family, friends and former work colleagues back in the USA. I enclosed a brief narrative of my experiences along with a few pictures from each country. In this book, you will see the e-mails I sent from each country along with many of the "better" pictures I took along the way.
