A Better Place

The Highlands of Scotland are a harsh environment to spend one's childhood and even more so when your father dies when you are only twelve.  Seeking a better place Murdo Campbell leaves his family to travel half way around the world to New Zealand. A sweet Irish lass captures his heart and together they forge a life in this developing country.  Murdo is not afraid of hard work and strives to achieve the best for his growing family.  Having travelled so far, he is not against uprooting and moving to take advantage of opportunities but tragedies are set to challenge his resolve. He meets the challenges head on, retains his sense of humour and eventually finds satisfaction and inner peace from achieving what he set out to do.  But does his eldest daughter, Lexie, inherit his resilience or do the challenges she must endure get the better of her.
