The year is 1897 and many things are going on! There's a mysterious crash landing of a craft in Texas that locals say came from outer space, oil discoveries in Oklahoma, and a chance of a lifetime to go for gold in the Yukon. Reporter Mark Sutherland wants to go to the Yukon and witness the gold rush as it happens. He's read all about the 1849 California gold rush and can't wait to experience the Yukon. He wouldn't miss this one.
But how will he get there?There are other adventures that happen before he achieves his goal of heading to the Yukon. Working as a reporter who travels from place to place, he reports on the events of the day. As he travels Mark meets people that become important to him. Each person has their own reasons for going on the adventure that will lead them all to the Yukon. Will there be gold for all? Will everyone end up happy with the outcome?
