Résumé

The global pandemic has been unlike anything that we have ever seen or witnessed in our lifetimes. We have seen uncontrolled viral infections hitting countries large and small with such devastating effects that the national health systems have been stretched to their absolute limits. It appeared that no country was immune from this pandemic and the infection and death statistics were just mind-boggling.
This pandemic has left most of the world's economies battered and bruised and unemployment numbers building almost as fast as the virus itself. And as for the virus, well that depends entirely on which variant you're talking about because the original virus that we started dealing with seems to have mutated into yet other forms. Yes, we have vaccines that have been developed at breakneck speed to help us deal with this pandemic, but unfortunately, many of these vaccines have come too late for a lot of vulnerable people.
It didn't matter whether you were highly educated or not. It didn't matter whether you were rich or poor. It didn't matter whether you lived in a well-developed country or a lesser developed country. Anyone who claims that they saw all this coming is either smoking something strong or just being plain dishonest. This pandemic caught us all flat-footed and unprepared. That notwithstanding, and as the old saying goes, behind every problem that we encounter, if we look closely enough there is a powerful lesson to benefit from.
This book is about the personal lessons that I have picked up during this pandemic. They are simple to understand, but very powerful when executed correctly. There is no chronological order to the presentation, as the subjects have been presented pretty much in the order that they occurred to me at the time. I hope that you will get as much benefit from reading them as I got from experiencing them.
