Pym is a young boy who lives in a forest clearing with his grandmother and their companions: Ned-a talkative owl who can't ?y-and Hector-a rather taciturn bipedal horse. He dreams of traveling to Windhill, the town that so often appears in the wonderful stories his grandmother tells. But the screamers-sinister creatures who haunt the forest- stand in his way. Yet despite the danger, and the secrets and lies that have surrounded him since birth, Pym is destined for something extraordinary-something that will demand great courage.
