This book begins with a protest: when people seek basic health information, they too often meet a price, a confusing gate, an advertisement, or a system designed around billing rather than understanding. The answer is not to reject science, clinicians, or human oversight. The answer is to organize them around a more generous purpose. This working draft imagines a Health Commons: free first-line knowledge, strong primary care, prevention, privacy, community power, and guaranteed routes to skilled help.
