The rescue mission is seventy-seven years late. Then the navigation system sends it to the wrong Roswell. In 1947, an extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed in New Mexico, leaving two survivors stranded on Earth. Their distress signal was received, documented, reviewed, challenged, reassigned, delayed, and buried beneath enough interstellar bureaucracy to outlast a human lifetime. Now scout officer Zek and technical specialist Ruum have finally been dispatched to bring them home.
Unfortunately, their overly confident navigation system decides that Roswell, Georgia, is statistically more promising than Roswell, New Mexico. Their arrival in a Baptist church parking lot during Wednesday-night choir practice is only the beginning. The missing crew members may actually have passed through Georgia after escaping government custody. Two mysterious graves, a guarded county history, and a family carrying an inheritance it does not understand suggest the rescue mission has reached the right place for entirely the wrong reason.
