BLUE-EYED MOON
In the near future, Earth is inhabited by two sentient species: Humans, and once and would be conquerors, the Iren. After six years of the bloodiest war in human history, the Iren were defeated, and the Earth, forever changed. Both species sensibly decided to further explore space, peacefully. That was until they encountered the eminently hostile and utterly merciless, Wahrune. After much bloodshed, the Wahrune are eventually vanquished.
However, during the penultimate battle of the conflict, a freak escape pod accident, propels, C. P. O. First Class, Vanessa Elizabeth Moon, out of the gigantic American spaceship, CVN 25, USS Eisenhower. Consequently, she finds herself quite literally in the middle of an interstellar conspiracy that could destroy the world. Courtesy of her preternatural beauty and piercing blue eyes, Vanessa soon finds uneasy grace and favour with one half of the conspiracy - Empress Sagaridu Saxa Pelaxsu.
However, Vanessa is soon persuaded to flee her, highly conditional, state of grace. If she's able to master the darkness within herself, with the help of new friends and allies, Vanessa Elizabeth Moon will soon discover why she was hurled halfway across the Galaxy, and perhaps . by whom?
