Out of work reporter Liza McPherson swore she'd die before ever returning home to Holler's Grove. When her newspaper is forced to downsize and Liza is let go she packs up her unreliable Sunbird and heads back to her childhood home. Not a day goes by before warm welcomes turn deadly cold and Liza realizes that the death of her friend was really meant to be the death of her. While her high school sweetheart, Sheriff Max Davis, and his mama are happy to have her back not everyone shares their joy.
