Cthulhu's Debt
A short story about loneliness and what a particular extraterrestrial will do to prevent it. Pnoth is the head of an invasion force that finds the initial takeover of Earth to be extremely easy. One thing disturbs him, though - their chanting of a phrase containing the word 'Cthulhu.' No one had seen the monstrous god in millennia, even if they all knew of him. They are about to be reminded of Great Cthulhu's presence - and Great Cthulhu always repays his debts.
