The Unfinished Revolution
This book started with a memory. A young Kenyan student watched his mother hold their family together through a difficult period, working, planning, sacrificing, carrying everything. And he watched the world fail to give her the credit she deserved. Not because she was not capable. Because she was a woman in a system that was not yet ready to see her fully. That memory became a question. Then the question became this book.
The Unfinished Revolution is an honest conversation about education, business and gender equality in Kenya and across Africa. It looks at why girls are still leaving school early, why women entrepreneurs keep hitting walls that have nothing to do with their ability, and why empowering women and men alike is the single most important thing Africa can do for its own future. This is not an academic book.
It is written in plain language by a student teacher, gender activist and writer who has lived close to these questions his whole life. It draws on real stories from Kenya, South Africa and across the continent. It talks about what is working, what is not, and what every single person reading it can do. The revolution has already started. This book is about how we finish it.
