In a remote monastery in Germany, the members of the Apocalyptic Group-a circle of scientists led by their founder, Alexander-gather. They have dedicated their work to the search for the mysterious Ark of the Covenant. When a storm unearths an unexpected discovery near the monastery, their research takes a sudden turn, leading them across several continents and perhaps even through time.
