This book was first published in 1994 (under a different title). Unfortunately, its relevance has not diminished, and it is now being released in a revised edition to ensure it remains accessible to a wider readership. The experiences with abuse of all kinds described in this book are based on real life experiences. To the extent necessary to protect personal rights, true stories have been retold, but without compromising their authenticity.
The names of all people, places, and institutions have been changed so that the actual individuals involved cannot be identified. This should serve as an opportunity for all those who nevertheless feel addressed to reflect on their own thoughts and actions. Trigger Warning: This book contains detailed descriptions of sexual violence against children that may cause readers uncomfortable and/or disturbing feelings.
