Kayla Reed's father was a scientist who worked for Rudakovski Enterprise. A father she felt abandoned her for his work all throughout her childhood. When he suddenly dies a year after her brother, she and her mother are left destitute. Not that Kayla felt she needed anything from her father but her mother she was certain should have been better taken care off. Andrei Rudakovski took over Rudakovski Enterprises at a young age when after his father's demise long before her father's death.
Never wanting to have anything further to do with the Rudakovskis, Kayla is, therefore, shocked when her's and Andrei's must entwine to solve a mystery that involved her father before his death and which has put her life in danger. Together they must find the clue to get out of danger if they want to live normal lives. Even though they are forced into marriage, they discover that they can get along and when fiery sparks start to fly, it becomes an urgent matter to get to the bottom of Luther Reed's other life.
