The play was originally commissioned to be written in both English and French, so Cat wanted to find something that would resonate with audiences in both languages. Like Genevieve, Cat also grew up in a devoutly Catholic family and wanted to be an altar server when she was young in the '80s, which still wasn't allowed. Premiered in March 2018 at La Cité Francophone in a co-production by Northern Light Theatre and L'UniTheâtre in Edmonton.
