For the people of Kemet, Heka represented something far more profound. It was understood as the sacred power through which creation itself was sustained-a divine principle woven into the fabric of existence. It was inseparable from wisdom, truth, healing, ethical responsibility, and the continual work of maintaining harmony with Ma'at. This book is my attempt to explore that vision with both reverence and intellectual honesty.
As you read these pages, you will notice that I have sought to distinguish carefully between what is supported by historical evidence from ancient Kemet and what I present as modern spiritual reflection. This distinction is important to me.
