Bu eser, Türk siirinin ve düsünce hayatinin en etkili isimlerinden Ismet Özel'in yasami, sanati ve entelektüel dönüsümünü mercek altina aliyor. Yazar Resit Güngör Kalkan, Özel'in çocukluk yillarindan baslayarak, sosyalizmle olan iliskisine, 1970'lerde yasadigi fikri ve manevi kirilmaya ve ardindan Islamci ve Türkçü kimliklerini insa etme sürecine kadar uzanan bir portre sunuyor.
