How can democracy succeed as a form of government? An adult may have developed self-confidence, but they cannot change the world alone. They can only gain power, influence, and assertiveness by joining forces and networking with like-minded people. It is the group and its dynamics that make transformation possible. A democratic consciousness can only emerge when many people who think alike and have a similarly developed consciousness come together in an organized way.
Democratic maturity is therefore the decisive criterion for the success of democratic structures. This is a reappraisal of human history in light of current global political issues, examining the group-dynamic development of democracy, its limits, and its drivers.
