Der Sammelband »Zwischen Geschichte und Philologie« vereint Beiträge von 16 renommierten Historiker:innen und Philolog:innen. Im Zentrum stehen die deutsch-polnisch-österreichischen Beziehungen im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert, insbesondere im Raum Galiziens. Die Beiträger:innen untersuchen historische Erfahrungen, kulturelle Transfers, sprachliche Prägungen sowie literarische und gesellschaftliche Diskurse aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive.
Der Band würdigt damit das wissenschaftliche Werk von Prof. Dr. Isabel Röskau-Rydel, deren Forschungen Geschichte und Philologie produktiv miteinander verbinden und neue Zugänge zur mitteleuropäischen Vergangenheit eröffnen. The edited volume "Between History and Philology" brings together contributions by 16 renowned historians and philologists. It focuses on German-Polish-Austrian relations in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with particular emphasis on the region of Galicia.
The contributors examine historical experiences, cultural transfers, linguistic influences, as well as literary and social discourses from an interdisciplinary perspective. In this way, the volume pays tribute to the scholarly work of Professor Isabel Röskau-Rydel, whose research productively interweaves history and philology and opens up new approaches to Central European history.
